MINNEAPOLIS — The FBI is asking the public for help in finding a serial bank robber.
The bureau says the same person is believed to have committed a series of robberies in Minnesota and South Dakota in August and September. The most recent was Sept. 25 at the TCF Bank in the Minneapolis suburb of Fridley. A robber approached two tellers with a note demanding cash.
Other robberies happened in the St. Paul suburb of Maplewood; at two banks in Sioux Falls, S.D.; and in Mitchell, S.D.
The robber in the Fridley case was described as a 6-foot, 200-pound white male between the ages of 30 and 40 with brown eyes, brown hair and a mustache with several days of beard growth.
