The filing period opens today for candidates in many communities from Adams to Zumbrota -- small cities and school districts that do not have primary elections.
City and school officials will accept paperwork during normal business hours through Sept. 10. All candidates who file will be listed on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.
Candidates in cities and school districts with primary elections, such as Rochester and Austin, have already filed. The primary is Sept. 10.
The following list includes municipal and school offices that are up for election and the incumbents in those positions. Officials in some cities and school districts could not be reached to be included in this list.
