MINNEAPOLIS -- After being on television for 20 years, former KARE-11 news anchor Pat Miles is moving to radio.
On Sept. 2, Miles' show will premiere on WCCO-AM. The format of the program hasn't been decided, but is likely to include current events and calls from listeners.
In February 1999, Miles underwent eye surgery to remove small bumps from the white of her left eye but had complications with chronic scarring.
Miles underwent several surgeries, but her pain persisted. The scarring prevented Miles from reading for more than 30 seconds without pain. As a result the popular news anchor left television.
