MANTORVILLE — A Dodge County jury on Thursday found the former police chief for West Concord guilty on three felony counts and one gross misdemeanor in relation to a 2007 investigation.
Robert Utech, 52, was found guilty of two felony counts involving torture or cruelty to animals, one felony count involving the wreckless discharge of a dangerous weapon, and one gross misdemeanor count of misconduct by a public official.
An investigation determined that Utech shot a number of cats in while patrolling in West Concord.
