From staff reports

Four students from Pacelli High School were inducted last week into the National Honor Society during a ceremony at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church.

The event honored Ashleigh Smith, Allison Johnson, Marta Burke and Sam Stier, who were chosen by a faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership and character.

The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest national organizations for high school students. Chapters exist in more than 60 percent of the nation’s high schools.
