Two people were hospitalized in fair condition this morning after being injured in an accident Sunday in Rochester.
According to police Capt. Jim Pittenger, the driver of a car traveling east in the 2000 block of Elton Hills Drive lost control of the vehicle. The car left the street and hit a light pole and tree about 9:30 p.m., Pittenger said.
Andrea Wittlief, 19, of Oronoco; Chanessa Gipson, 13, of Rochester; Prestina Ellis, 16, of Rochester; and Ryan Erickson, 23, of Rochester were passengers in the vehicle. All were taken to the hospital with injuries. Wittlief and Erickson were still at Saint Marys Hospital this morning and listed in fair condition. Gipson and Ellis were seen and dismissed.
Pittenger said the driver of the vehicle apparently left the scene on foot and hasn't been found.
