Rochester Friends of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts will sponsor a bus trip Sept. 11 to a presentation at the institute by Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill.
Lady Spencer-Churchill will speak on "Classic English Interiors," followed by a book-signing. The trip also will include a docent tour of "The Legacy of the Lathe," an exhibit on the contemporary craft and art of wood.
The bus will leave the Rochester Congregational Church at 8:30 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. The fee is $16; reservations required. Call Lynda Sharbrough, 288-6664, or Fran Lane, 280-9622.
On Sept. 18, the Rochester friends group will sponsor a lecture by Stephanie A. Stebich, assistant director of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Her talk, at 10 a.m. at the Rochester Golf and Country Club, will look ahead to programs and exhibits of the 2003-2004 season. The lecture is free.
