A fund development seminar will be Nov. 9 in Rochester for fund-raising professionals, nonprofit board members, community leaders and philanthropists.
The seminar, sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southern Minnesota Chapter, also is in observance of National Philanthropy Day.
Simone P. Joyaux, a nationally recognized fund-raising consultant, author and teacher, will speak on the topic, "Strategic Fund Development: Building Profitable Relationships That Last." She will also give the keynote address on "Power and Philanthropy" during lunch.
The seminar will be at the Kahler Grand Hotel and will include morning and afternoon workshops with a noon luncheon and the first Awards for Philanthropy for Southern Minnesota.
