The ROCK, Rochester's Own Club Keystone, will have a car wash, Krispy Kreme doughnut sale, and sale of hot dogs, chips and pop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Sam's Club parking lot in Rochester. All proceeds will go to programs at the Boys &; Girls Club of Rochester. Sam's Club is a sponsor of the fund-raiser.

The Rochester Centurion Bike Ride, to benefit Arc Southeastern Minnesota, will begin at 6:30 a.m. at Bear Creek Park in Rochester. The Rochester Harley Owners Group will have its annual motorcycle ride to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon at Regional Sports Center at Rochester Community and Technical College. The ride will be 130 miles and includes six stops. Registration fee is $10 per rider. There will be door prizes, a silent auction and a live auction with U.S. Rep. Gil Gutknecht as the auctioneer. At 5:45 p.m., a fire truck will lead the riders on a police-escorted parade through Rochester to the Ronald McDonald House. The Rochester Shriners motorcycle parade unit will participate and perform their parade program in front of the house. In addition, the Rochester Drifters car club will have several classic cars in the parade.
Aug. 1
The Southern Minnesota Chapter of the United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association will conduct a 1950s-60s dance at the Eagles Club in Rochester. Dance lessons will be taught from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. by Fred Astaire Dance instructors. The dance will be from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Admission prices, which include the lesson, are $6 for members and $8 for nonmembers. Proceeds will be given to Bear Creek Services. There will be a pancake breakfast, silent auction and bake sale to benefit Nancy Dailey Brand of Lewiston from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Lewiston Community Center. Proceeds raised will be used to help with medical expenses she has incurred since being diagnosed with cancer. Thrivent Financial West Winona Branch is supporting the event. Rochester Youth for Christ is taking orders for Colorado peaches that will be delivered in mid-August. The fruit will arrive four days from the time it is handpicked and packed in the orchard. Brunch with a Naturalist will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first Sunday of the month through Sept. 7. An optional bat presentation will be offered at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The menu includes carved ham and roast beef, made-to-order omelets, baked goods and pastries, salads and side dishes, potatoes and casseroles, and homemade desserts.
