Gene Alan 'Geno' Ryan -- Goodhue

GOODHUE -- The funeral for Gene Alan "Geno" Ryan will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island, with the Revs. Kip Groettum and John Torris Lohre co-officiating. Burial will be in Zumbrota Cemetery.

Mr. Ryan, 47, of Goodhue, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack Thursday (Oct. 28, 2004) at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center.

He was born May 31, 1957, in Red Wing. He grew up in the Zumbrota area and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1975. On Nov. 17, 1979, he married Tammy Soland at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island. They made their home in Pine Island for a short time, later moved to Zumbrota, and in 1999, they moved to Goodhue. Mr. Ryan worked for Rochester Ready Mix-Zumbrota Division. He was a member of Union 160, and enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, motorcycles and shooting pool.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Aja Ryan of Rochester, and Kate Ryan of Goodhue; his father and stepmother, Eugene (Judy) of Red Wing; one sister, Debbie (Roger) Pahl of Pine Island; four brothers, Jeffrey (Carolyn) of Goodhue, Jon and Joseph (Sheila), both of Zumbrota, and Gregory (Michele) of Red Wing; and his maternal grandmother, Doris Banks of Cannon Falls. His mother, paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Mahn Family Funeral Home–Larson; Chapel in Zumbrota, and at the church one hour before the service on Tuesday.
