Inside play too much
WINONA — John Marshall bounced back nicely from its loss to Century on Friday, as it blitzed Winona in Big Nine Conference action.
The Rockets did it behind torrid shooting from forward Apiew Ojulu. The sophomore had 22 points on 11- of-13 shooting on two-point baskets. Fellow inside player Nytor Longar added 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Alyssa Rushton had 14 points and seven assists.
"The kids did a nice job tonight," JM coach Terry Heiderscheit said. "They worked the ball well and got some good looks for the big kids inside. And our defense did a nice job pressuring them in the first half."
