Panthers off to 0-2 start
NEW BRIGHTON — Irondale scored 11 goals in each half and dealt Rochester Century its second straight loss to begin the season.
Three players scored twice for Century -- Julie Klampe, Brittany Cords and Kaylie LaPlante. Century goalie Gina Dacy was busy with 35 saves in 57 shots on goal.
Century scored all of its goals either from penalty shots or on fast breaks, so there were no assists.

"Fast breaks and faceoff goals really hurt the Panthers in this game," said coach Cassie Rodgers.
Century (2-0) plays at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Faribault on Thursday.
