Glendon Wayne Bundy -- Riceville, Iowa

RICEVILLE, Iowa -- The funeral for Glendon Wayne Bundy will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in McIntire, Iowa, with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Cemetery in McIntire.

Mr. Bundy, 82, of Riceville, a dairy farmer, died Wednesday (Jan. 12, 2005) at Riceville Community Rest Home, where he had lived a short time.

He was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Chester Township, Howard County, Iowa. During World War II he served in the military for four years and served overseas. Mr. Bundy farmed in Oakdale and Wayne townships all his working life. On Nov. 4, 1946, he married Dorothy Boehmer in Alta Vista, Iowa. She died April 26, 1995. He married Dorothy (Enfield) Bergan on Oct. 16, 1999, at Riceville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dancing.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Glenda (Ron) Thompson of Byron, Linda (Eldon) Funte of Clarion, Iowa, Wanda (Tony) Lilly of Stewartville, Louise (Dick) Winfield of LeRoy, Brenda (Ed) Booth of Mason City, Iowa, and Kathy Valasek of Riceville; a son, Harvey (Pat) of McIntire; two stepsons, Doug (Linda) Bergan of Lanesboro and Stan (Sharon) Bergan of LeRoy; a stepdaughter, Diane Lukavsky of Chariton, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine (Dale) Stupp of Independence, Iowa; two half brothers, Terry Bundy and Bill Bundy, both of Hazelton, Iowa; and a half sister, Carolyn (Harold) Wayson of Hazelton.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy and an hour before the service Sunday at the church.
