GOODHUE -- A Goodhue woman died early Wednesday when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle and it left the road, hit some trees and caught fire.

Dorothy Rehder, 58, was dead at the scene of the accident on Goodhue County Road 4 near 315th Street, which is between Goodhue and Red Wing, according to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Department.

The department said Rehder was driving north and was about 10 miles north of Goodhue, when she lost control. The accident was reported at 7:47 a.m. but probably happened earlier, the department reported.
