MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota reserve guard Aaron Robinson will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.
Robinson, a sophomore who's averaging 2.0 points, 1.3 assists and 11.3 minutes per game, will have surgery Friday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, the school said Thursday.
He was hurt just before halftime of the Gophers' loss to Indiana on Tuesday. Minnesota (16-10, 8-7) finishes the regular season Sunday at Illinois and will need a strong showing in the Big Ten tournament next weekend to land a bid to the NCAA tournament.
