Three of four Olmsted County commissioners filed for re-election Tuesday, and newcomers signed up to challenge for four Rochester City Council seats.

County Commissioners Jim Bier, Stephanie Podulke and Gregg Wright filed paperwork on the first day of filing, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website. No challengers were reported.

During the same day, four Rochester residents filed paperwork for city council seats.

Greg Munson, a retired educator, is seeking the city council president seat; Mark Bransford, a software developer, is set to run for the Ward 2 seat; Kelly Rae Kirkpatrick, a landscape designer, put her name forward in Ward 4; and Todd Pisarski, a certified public accountant, filed for the Ward 6 seat.

No one was reported as filing for city or county offices on Wednesday.

Filing for the city and county offices remains open until June 2.
