Rochester's three candidates for city council president -- Vangie Castro, Brooke Carlson and Kathleen Harrington -- were asked to provide their thoughts on working with a council that can be strongly divided on issues.
The question posed was:In recent years, the council has faced a variety of split votes in divisive issues. As the presiding officer, how do you propose to seek to bring consensus to the council or work with the divided sides of an issue?
