The City of Rochester Parks & Recreation Department shared details on several options for outdoor aquatics this summer. Community members will have the opportunity to enjoy any of the possibilities without cost, as there is free admission for 2021.

“We are excited to welcome the community back to our facilities this summer," Recreation Supervisor Ben Boldt said. "As always, we ask residents and visitors to be safe and smart when enjoying our aquatic options. Water safety is important."

Soldiers Field Pool (244 Soldiers Field Drive SW) is scheduled to open Saturday, June 5 at 12 p.m. Soldiers Field Pool hours for open swimming will be 12 p.m. – 8 .p. m. seven days a week. It will be open through late August. No admission fee will be charged during open swim times for 2021. Lifeguards are on duty at the pool during open swim hours.

Silver Lake Pool (840 7th Street NE) is scheduled to open on Monday, June 7, at 12 p.m. Silver Lake Pool hours for open swimming will be 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. seven days a week. It will be open through early August. No admission fee will be charged during open swim times for 2021. Lifeguards are on duty at the pool during open swim hours.

Foster-Arend Beach (4051 E. River Road NE) opens for the season on Saturday, May 29, at 12 p.m. Beach hours will be 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. seven days a week through Labor Day. There is no admission charge at the beach and no lifeguards will be on duty.

Cascade Lake Beach (88 23rd Avenue SW) opens for the season on Friday, June 4, at 4 p.m. Beach hours will be on weekends from Friday at 4 p.m. to Sunday evening at sunset through Labor Day. Cascade Lake Beach will be closed Monday – Thursday each week and Fridays until 4 p.m. due to mining activity in the lake. There is no admission charge at the beach and no lifeguards will be on duty.
