I am disappointed that Gov. Tim Pawlenty chose to veto funding for the Chatfield Band music-lending library. The library is a unique institution that lends music to bands locally, nationally and internationally. Many items in our collection no longer are in print and are unavailable anywhere else.
I do not understand why Pawlenty singled out this project for public scorn. This has been demeaning to all of the dedicated people who have been a part of this organization and the community of Chatfield.
