MINNEAPOLIS -- The Guthrie Theatre squeezed out its seventh consecutive operating surplus during the 2002-2003 fiscal year, but saw season subscriptions and total attendance dip and watched the theater's endowment plunge more than $8.5 million.
At its annual meeting Monday, the Guthrie reported spending $18.1 million and collecting revenue of $17.9 million. After factoring in depreciation and other accounting adjustments, the theater claimed a surplus of $946.
