Kubicek scores three TDs
Derek Kubicek helped carried La Crescent to its second conference win, rushing for 123 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries.
Kubicek’s 49-yard scoring run started the Lancers to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. The senior tailback accounted for all of La Crescent’s rushing yards, and one of his touchdowns was on a 16-yard pass reception.
The Lancers passed effectively, with quarterback Ian Anderson completing 17 of 26 passes for 264 yards with two interceptions. Split end Tim Verthein had eight catches for 131 yards.
