Skaden leads the way

PLAINVIEW — It was the "Bill Skaden and Tony Theisen Show." And it was Lewiston-Altura’s Skaden who won, by the slightest of margins.

Skaden, a Cardinals quarterback, rushed for 145 yards and scored all four of his teams touchdowns. Theisen, a running back and kick returner, rushed for 101 yards, caught five passes for 79 yards, and had all four of PEM’s touchdowns. One of the TDs was an 85-yard kickoff return. Theisen had a 72-yard punt return for a touchdown called back.

L-A won the game in overtime, with Skaden scoring a touchdown on a 1-yard run, then Skaden connecting on a two-point conversion throw to Travis Fort. PEM had scored on a 10-yard run by Theisen in overtime, then converted a one-point conversion.


L-A finished with 260 yards rushing, PEM 159. PEM had 112 yards passing, L-A 67.

L-A moved to 2-1 in the conference and 3-4 overall. PEM is 1-2, 5-2.
