Coach finds improvement in loss
FARIBAULT — Century’s young team entered play against Faribault Thursday night still winless and searching for signs of improvement.
They found that in holding the Falcons to a scoreless tie in the first period in which junior goalkeeper Liz Maidl saved 16 shots.
Faribault broke out in the second period with a four goal barrage that put the game at 4-0 in the Falcon’s advantage. They added two more in the final period to finish up scoring for the night.

The Panthers had only two shots on goal to Faribault’s 53.
Coach Dan Maidl was encouraged by the team’s play.
"All in all we’re very happy with the effort," Maidl said. "Our coverages are improving. We probably blocked 25 shots at the point."
Century drops to 0-12 and will take on Albert Lea next Tuesday.
