H S Manufacturing will attend Agri News Farm Show

ROCHESTER, Minn. — H & S Manufacturing will showcase several of its heavy duty farm machines at the Agri News Farm Show.

The Marshfield, Wis.-based company will have a grinder mixer, forage box, linewrap bale wrapper and a hydraulic push manure spreader on hand at its booths, numbers 274 to 280.

H & S’s 170 Grinder-Mixer has feeding attachments and unloading mechanisms that are all hydraulically driven. There are no drive belts, chains or gear clusters to wear out.

Its self-contained hydraulic system includes a pulley-driven pump, cyclonic reservoir for maximum hydraulic cooling and a pressure relief valve. Two full length windows and a rear porthole window allow the operator to see feed levels.

The units 14-inch mixing auger has a 30-inch base, which offers superior mixing uniformity. The 300 degree swing radius of the unloading auger allows repositioning of the discharge auger form one side of the machine to the other.

Two heavy-duty four- by 18-inch magnets remove any metal at the gravity hopper that may accidentally mix with the material entering the mill.

H & S will display a forage box at the show. The forage boxes feature front, rear and front and rear unloading.

The boxes include H & S’s 10-year warranty on the frame, floor and roof. Box sides and end are constructed of 10-gauge corrosion resistant aluminized steel.

Moving from front to rear discharge is easy.

H & S uses a deep stagger beater design. The beaters turn faster from top to bottom. A slow turning top beater doesn’t pitch chunks forward. It undercuts the heap and feeds the material down where the bottom beaters go to work delivering an even flow to the cross conveyor .

The Line Wrap Bale Wrapper allows a one-man operation when in the automatic operating mode. The machine wraps while the operator loads. There is an optional remote control for side loading.

The linewrap controls are conveniently located and include the functions of automatic or manual operation, manual hoop revolution, bale pusher movement and a start and reset switch.

Bale guides center the bales for wrapping and are easily adjusted.

The Linewrap maximizes baleage yield and requires less effort and time than conventional wrapping methods.

Also featured at the show is H & S’s hydraulic push manure spreaders.

The hydraulic push systems come with either horizontal or vertical beaters. The horizontal beater models feature a top beater as standard equipment and are shear bolt protected at the front PTO assembly. Heavy duty rectangular tubing is used for the pole to ensure strength and long life.

The Hydraulic push-off system on all models feature a hydraulic variable speed control and two hydraulic cylinders that sequence to reduce push-off forces and provide fast unloading of material.

The vertical beater design features a quick release clean out pan.
