ST. CHARLES -- The funeral for Harriet B. Langseth will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles, with the Rev. Mark Wilms officiating. Burial will be in Arendahl Cemetery in rural Peterson.
Mrs. Langseth, 91, of Wabasha, formerly of St. Charles, died Monday morning (Oct. 4, 2004) at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha.
Harriet B. Agrimson was born June 28, 1913, in Peterson, later lived in Sebeka, Minn., and, after her mother died when she was 10, she returned to Peterson to live with family. On April 17, 1932, she married Melvin Langseth in Glyndon, Minn. They farmed in rural Lewiston until retiring, and moved to St. Charles in 1976. Mr. Langseth died April 26, 1986. She lived in Rushford from November 2001 until moving to St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home in Wabasha in August 2004. Mrs. Langseth was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles and its WELCA and was a former member of Arendahl Lutheran Church in rural Peterson. She enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include a son, Marlyn (Donelda) of Minneiska; three daughters, Phyllis Langseth of Stillwater, Minn., Thea (Terry) Schultz of Wabasha and Sharon (Ron) Kalmes of St. Paul; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul (Ethel) Agrimson of Peterson, Robert (Joy) Agrimson of St. Paul and Orrin (June) Agrimson of Vancouver, Wash.; and two sisters, Margaret Currie of Rushford and Bernette Vraspir of Seattle, Wash. A granddaughter preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Homes-St. Charles Chapel and an hour before service Thursday at the church.
