Harry J. 'Bud' Nolan -- Harmony

HARMONY -- The funeral for Harry J. "Bud" Nolan will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Notre Dame Parish-Assumption Worship Center in Cresco, Iowa. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cresco, at a later date.

Mr. Nolan, 84, of Granger, died Friday (Dec. 2, 2005) at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Preston, following a lengthy illness.

Born Oct. 13, 1921, in Albion Township, Howard County, Iowa, he graduated from Assumption High School in Cresco. He served in the military during World War II and was a postmaster in Granger. On Nov. 16, 1950, he married Velma Roman in Cresco; she died April 22, 2001.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Nolan of San Diego and Joanne (Michael Petermeier) Nolan of Woodbury, Minn.; two sons, Gary (Deanna) and Larry (Mary), both of Harmony; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be an hour before the service Tuesday at the church.


Conway Funeral Home of Cresco is in charge of arrangements.
