Hayfield edged by Austin

Austin defeated Hayfield 3-2 in a back-and-forth non-conference volleyball match Monday.

Hayfield had leads of one game to none and two games to one, but Austin won the final two games.

Kristen Kaczmarek had a career-best match for the Vikings. She pounded out 13 kills, had 18 set assists, 15 service points, including eight aces, and five digs.

Lauren Burmeister added nine kills, Alyssa Nelson had five ace blocks, and Cassie Kraetsch contributed five kills and five ace serves.
