Mrs. Ronne
GRAND MEADOW — The funeral for Helen A. Ronne will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grand Meadow Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Bob Seifert officiating. Burial will be in Grand Meadow Cemetery.
Mrs. Ronne, 89, a longtime Grand Meadow resident, died Saturday (Sept. 22, 2007) at the Grand Meadow Healthcare Center.
Helen Amelia Kindler was born Sept. 8, 1918, in Blue Earth County, Minn. She attended Rush Lake School of Blue Earth County and graduated from Mankato (Minn.) Commercial College. She worked for the Blue Earth Poor Farm and later for Swanson’s Wallpaper and Paint. On Aug. 29, 1940, she married Jesse Ronne at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. They moved from Mankato to the family farm in Grand Meadow in March 1941. Mrs. Ronne was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Austin, and belonged to the ladies aid and the neighborhood birthday club. She also enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards and stamp collecting.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" (Jim) Bissen of Rose Creek; a son, Wayne (Joanne) of Grand Meadow; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow, and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
