Helen Campbell -- St. Charles

ST. CHARLES -- There will be an Eastern Star service for Helen Campbell at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Homes-St. Charles Chapel. The body will be cremated following the service. Burial will be in Saratoga Cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell, 86, of St. Charles, a former farm homemaker, died Sunday (July 7, 2002) at Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles.

Helen Dyar was born March 3, 1916, in Saratoga Township, Winona County. On May 15, 1936, she married Craig Campbell, and they farmed south of St. Charles. In addition to homemaking, she worked for Elwin and Grace Busian at St. Charles Greenhouse for many years. Her husband died July 21, 1997. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Sunshine Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star of St. Charles and Saratoga Homemakers. She enjoyed crafts and hobbies.

Survivors include a son, Larry of St. Charles; a daughter, Joyce (Dick) Evans of St. Charles; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and an hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
