Herbert Otto Siefert -- Lake City

LAKE CITY -- A memorial service for Herbert Otto Siefert will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City, with the Rev. Bruce Stam officiating. There was a service and burial May 21 in Phoenix.

Mr. Siefert, 70, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Lake City, died May 19, 2003, in Arizona.

Born March 10, 1933, in Lake City, he grew up in the Oak Center area, attended Lake City high school and served in the Air Force. On June 4, 1954, he married Lois Steinert in Longview, Wash. Mr. Siefert worked at Gould Foundry in Lake City for many years before retiring due to ill health.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Duane (Connie) of Rochester; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold (Julia) of Lake City. He was preceded in death by two sons, a brother, a sister and a foster brother.
