Girls basketball

• Elizabeth Hanson poured in 33 points, including four

3-pointers, in Triton’s 55-46 win over St. Charles in the St. Charles Holiday Tournament.

• Cannon Falls forward Alex Montgomery scored 36 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 77-64 loss to undefeated Worthington in the Albert Lea Tournament.

• Cassie Dorschner scored 20 points to lead Kasson-Mantorville in a 47-33 victory over Meadow Creek Christian in the Lake City Tournament.


• Grand Meadow’s Jessica Benson pumped in 31 points in a 55-53 come-from-behind win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville at the Lewiston Auto/Warrior Club Holiday Tournament in Winona. In the loss, P-E-M’s Alise Holst scored 25 points.

• Erin Gadient scored 22 points as Goodhue rallied past host Ellsworth (Wis.) 54-45 in the Ellsworth Tourament. Goodhue trailed 30-24 at the half.

• Whitney Fick and Maranda Dohrn had monster games in leading Lake City to a 60-43 win over St. Peter in the Lake City Tournament. Fick finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals. Dohrn had 21 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and four blocked shots.

Boys basketball

• Ian Anderson scored 23 points as La Crescent improved to 7-0 with a 58-40 victory over Rushford-Peterson in the first game of the round-robin Caledonia Tournament.

• Michael Burfeind scored 25 points for Lewiston-Altura in a 74-68 loss to Onalaska Lutheran (Wis.) in the Lewiston Auto/Warrior Club Holiday Tournament.

• Kody Moore paced Caledonia with 21 points in a 75-69 come-from-behind win over Spring Grove at the Caledonia Holiday Classic. Moore hit 8 of 8 free throws in the second half. Teammate Craig Loeffler had 17 points, and Ryan Goetzinger 16. Kevin Lochner poured in 27 points for Spring Grove in the loss. Adel Hundorf added 18 points.

• Tom Gisler poured in 25 points to lead Stewartville in a 62-47 victory over Dover-Eyota at the St. Charles tournament.
