High-speed rail to be discussed Friday

The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce will host a session titled "State High-speed Passenger Rail Plan: Where Does Rochester Fit?" from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center in Rochester.

The session will feature a discussion on Rochester’s passenger rail interests and an update from local legislators on legislative session.

Moderators will be Tim Geisler of Mayo Clinic and John Eckerman, vice president of government affairs for the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce. The guest will be Mike Schadauer from the Minnesota Department of Transportation office of transit.

Cost for the session is $20 for chamber members and $30 for nonmembers. To register, go to www.rochestermn
