Naig, a senior, made 35 set assists in the match. She was instrumental last year as the setter in K-M's playoff run in which the team placed second in Class AA at the state tournament.

Lyle/Austin Pacelli went on the road and tagged Grand Meadow with its first defeat in Southeast Conference volleyball, winning 3-0.
"They just run a pretty complicated offense and don't make many mistakes, and they have two exceptional middle hitters in Louise Mudra and Angela Kuttner," said Grand Meadow coach Ron Prigge about Lyle/Pacelli.

Byron's Kristen Peterson scored two goals in the Bears' 6-0 win over Plainview/Elgin-Millville. Byron improved to 9-1-1.
Girls tennis
• Rochester; Mayo got straight-set wins at all but one position and powered to a 7-0 Big Nine Conference girls tennis win over Austin at Mayo.
The win upped Mayo to 13-3. The Spartans play host to Rochester John Marshall on Thursday.
Rochester John Marshall rode its singles again and dumped Winona 4-3 in Big Nine action.
Joanna Mickelsen, Anna Ritchie, Kelsey Kircher and Aimee Ny all had wins.
JM is 6-1 in the Big Nine and 10-6 overall.

Swimming and diving
Red Wing defeated Mayo 97-81 in a non-conference dual meet at Red Wing.
Taking firsts for Mayo were Kathryn Lewallen in diving (245.80) and Sarah Hayes in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.86) and the 400 freestyle relay team (4:23.32).
