Hitachi employees in Rochester volunteered today and Wednesday in the community by doing some home maintenance and yard work and making bandages for first-aid classes.
Thirty-two volunteers from Hitachi will take part in the company's first Days of Caring, an event that places volunteers at organizations to help for the day. IBM also began its Days of Caring today.
Hitachi volunteers will be doing maintenance on a Habitat for Humanity home, making bandages for American Red Cross first-aid classes in local schools, clearing brush at Mayowood Gardens and weeding, trimming and pruning the grounds at the Olmsted County History Center.
