CALEDONIA -- A 48-year-old rural Hokah man is reported in critical condition this morning after being accidentally shot Saturday by a member of his deer hunting party while hunting in Houston County.
The Houston County Sheriff's Department identified the man as Steven Duane Eisenhuth who was taken to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis.
The shooting was reported at 5:08 p.m. in Mound Prairie Township in the northern part of the county.
Chief Deputy Ken Frank said details of the shooting are being withheld while the case continues to be investigated and until the county attorney's office has a chance to review the findings.
