Hormel Foods. Corp. has launched its first Web site dedicated to the company’s largest brand — Hormel.
This morning, the Austin-based company announced the creation of the site — www.hormel.com — that is designed as an interactive kitchen, allowing consumers to interact with the Hormel brand and find advantages of the company’s broad range of products, a news release says.
Nutrition and ingredient information is provided on the site along with a more advanced product locator.

"As the largest brand for Hormel Foods, it was necessary to build a Web site for consumers to learn more about Hormel products," said Scott Weisenbeck, group product manager. "The site is a hub for the beginning of a broader digital strategy."
The site features a center island and cupboards that open and close with windows that show different times of day and the changing seasons.
A section for convenient meals gives various meal solutions for today’s "time-pressed consumers" while showing the strength of the Hormel brand for lunch meals, the release says.
A "protein made easy" section provides information on the advantage of adding meat proteins to a healthful diet. The knowledge center educates consumers about cuts of meat and how to select the best cut for meals.
