Houston coach gets 200th win

Houston coach Peter Peterson notched his 200th career win Tuesday night as his Hurricanes romped to a 10-4 win over La Crosse Aquinas in non-conference softball.

Peterson, 52, was delivered a 6-1 win over LeRoy-Ostrander/Grand Meadow on Monday.

The Houston coach is in his 16th year of coaching.

Peterson's career mark is 200-98.

Southland/Grand Meadow shot a 152 in its first meet of the season, at the Cedar River Country Club in Adams. That bettered the previous school record by one stroke.

Brady Lorenzen and Eric Kiefer each shot even-par 36s.
