Good enough to turn a dog day of a Sunday afternoon into something special. It would be nice for the Gophers to knock off Duke, but a victory isn't necessary for people to remember this team for a long, long time.
The women's sports program at the U of M is doing just fine. You'll recall the volleyball team went deep into the NCAA playoffs in the fall and the hockey women won a national title on Sunday.
Speaking of Whalen, what are the chances that the WNBA will make it possible for the Lynx to draft her? It would be nice for the team's future in Minnesota if Whalen stayed home.
