Howard G. Bill -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Howard G. Bill will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Davison-Fulton Funeral Home Chapel in Peoria, Ill. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, Ill.

Mr. Bill, 85, of Rochester, died Thursday (Feb. 16, 2006) at Saint Marys Hospital.

He was born Sept. 28, 1920, in Wheaton, Ill. He attended the University of Illinois and served in the U.S. Army, Persian Gulf Command in World War II. After World War II, he entered the broadcasting industry in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota. He started the Rochester Radio Group 41 years ago. He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church, Rochester Host Lions Club and a number of professional associations.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille; two daughters, Linda of Rochester and Candace (Lawrence Lee) Dick of Fredericksburg, Va.; two sons, John (Melissa) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Greg (Lisa) of Minneapolis; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of local arrangements.


The family prefers memorials to the Lions Hearing Foundation through the Rochester Host Lions Club or to First Presbyterian Church.
