I know there are people out there who are pushing for Barry Bonds to win yet another National League Most Valuable Player Award.

But not me.

My vote goes to 23-year-old Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Have you taken a look at this guy's statistics lately?

They're overwhelming, to say the least. He leads the N.L. in hitting (.367), hits (194), runs scored (126), doubles (46) and home runs (41). And, oh yes, he's second in RBIs (121). And, oh yes, he has also put together a 30-game hitting streak this season.

Pujols could wind up leading the N.L. in at least six offensive categories.

He is having an amazing season, one that should earn him the MVP Award.
