MINNEAPOLIS -- International Falls prep hockey star Ben Gordon has made a verbal commitment to play for the University of Minnesota.
The 5-10, 155-pound Gordon would join Minnesota for the 2004-2005 season. The Gophers are the defending national champions.
Gordon was also recruited by North Dakota, Minnesota-Duluth, Denver, Maine and Notre Dame. He had 30 goals and 59 assists for the Broncos last season and was among the top high-school scorers in the state.
