Irene Anastasia Wera -- Kasson

KASSON -- A memorial Mass for Irene Anastasia Wera will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kasson, with the Rev. Charlie Collins officiating.

Mrs. Wera, 87, of Kasson, died Monday evening (Nov. 15, 2004) at Fairview Nursing Home in Dodge Center.

Irene Kujak was born April 10, 1917, in Whitehall, Wis. In February 1940, she married Frank Wera. She worked for Winona Knitting Mills for more than 25 years. She also was instrumental in raising three grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Judith (David Holm) Horton-Holm of Kasson, and Margaret (Jim) West of Omaha, Neb; a son, Joseph (Tia) of Oakdale, Minn.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Martin (Jeri) Kujak of Winona; and a sister, Terese Kujak of Winona. Her husband, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.


Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center is in charge of arrangements.
