ST. CHARLES — A funeral Mass for Irene Ann Puetz will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles, with the Rev. James F. Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, St. Charles.
Mrs. Puetz, 89, of St. Charles, died Friday (April 24, 2009) at the home of her son in East Bethel, Minn. Prior to living with her son, she resided at the Golden Living Center in St. Charles.
Irene Ann Sagissor was born June 2, 1919, in Highland Township, Wabasha County. She married Cletus Puetz on Sept. 19, 1939. They farmed in Clyde, Minn., before moving to St. Charles in 1966. After moving to town, Mrs. Puetz was a cook at St. Charles Elementary School and worked at St. Charles Bakery. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Diane) of East Bethel; and grandchildren, Michelle (Peter) Ponca of Livingston, Mont., Christin Puetz (partner, Jen Urso) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Michael Puetz of Thief River Falls, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 29, 1993, and a sister, Dorothy.
Friends may call from noon until the time of the service Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home .
