Local veterans of the World War II battle of Iwo Jima will talk about their experiences at 10 a.m. Saturday at Charter House, 211 Second St. S.W.
Leonard Jansen of Rochester and Charles Kubicek and "Lefty" Lee, both of Winona, will speak. The famous flag-raising on Iwo Jima was on Feb. 23, 1945.
The program is sponsored by the Scott Hosier World War II Roundtable of Rochester. There will be refreshments at 9:30 a.m. Admission is a suggested $2 donation.
