James E. Gilsdorf — West Albany

ZUMBRO FALLS — A memorial service for James E. Gilsdorf will be at 11 a.m. Friday at North Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Paul.

Mr. Gilsdorf died Aug. 28, 2008.

He was born July 7, 1944, in West Albany and grew up there. He worked at 3M for 33 years and served in the Navy.

Mr. Gilsdorf is survived by his wife, Carol; a son, James, Jr.; three stepchildren, Tanya, Bruce and Scott Allen; a grandson; four brothers, Donald, Dick, Bill and Mark; and three sisters, Marge Heppelmann, Linda Wolf and Marlene Tolzman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Hazel Gilsdorf; and two brothers, Lloyd and Leo.

Memorials are preferred to Dakota Communities, Inc., DCI Maryland, 2355 Maryland Ave. E., Maplewood, MN 55119, to the attention of Lori Traynor.
