She was born Sept. 10, 1953, grew up in Dodge Center, graduated from Dodge Center High School and received a degree in dental assisting. She was a dental assistant for several years in Winona and Minneapolis and later in Detroit Lakes, Minn., following her marriage. In 1980, she married Brian A. Mann. They lived in Detroit Lakes and were later divorced. She was involved in the development of a day care center in Detroit Lakes, later worked with Off-The-Beaten-Path, an organization that provided vacation opportunities for those with physical and mental challenges, and after moving to Cheyenne in 1997, she was employed by Magic City, where she assisted adults with disabilities.

Survivors include two sons, Joshua B. Mann in the Navy based at Norfolk, Va., and Eric R. Mann of Cheyenne; her mother, Betty J. Wellman of Mountlake Terrace, Wash.; a brother, Steven C. Wellman of Marshall, Minn.; and sister, Nancy E. Schloetel of Mountlake Terrace.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
