KENYON -- The funeral for Janise A. Timbeross will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenyon, with the Rev. Luther Mathsen officiating. Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery.
Mrs. Timbeross, 89, of Kenyon, died Friday (Oct. 1, 2004) at Kenyon Sunset Home.
Janise Austina Dalbotten was born Nov. 12, 1914, in Leon Township, Goodhue County. She attended school in Kenyon, graduating in 1932. She completed teachers training in Goodhue County and taught in area country schools until her marriage to Edwin Timbeross on April 8, 1939, in Northwood, Iowa. The couple lived in Pine Island for four years before moving in 1943 to the family farm in Leon Township. They farmed together until moving to Kenyon in 1987. Mr. Timbeross died Oct. 22, 1992. Mrs. Timbeross was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and was past treasurer of the Sons of Norway. She enjoyed playing cards and scrabble, reading and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the church from noon until the time of the service on Wednesday.
