Jean E. Mickow -- Frontenac

Frontenac -- The funeral for Jean E. Mickow, 80, will be 2 p.m. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake City, with the Rev. Scott Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Mrs. Mickow, of Frontenac, died Friday (Oct. 11, 2002) at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center.

Mrs. Mickow was born Nov. 15, 1921 in Lake City. She grew up in Mt. Pleasant Township and attended rural school there. She married Clifford Mickow July 22, 1942, in Lake City. They later divorced. She worked as a clerk for the Casey's store in Lake City for many years. She also worked as clerk at various stores in Red Wing and Lake City. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, and belonged to the ladies aid, the community's senior citizens group and the Lake City Women's Club.

She is survived by one sister.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.


Friends may call one hour before the services at the church Monday.
