Jin Park gets PGA Tour card

Former Nationwide Tour player Jin Park qualified for the PGA Tour on Monday, advancing through the final stage of the Tour’s qualifying school.

Post-Bulletin sports writer Ben Pherson caddied for Park in 2006 during the Nationwide Tour’s Scholarship America Showdown at Somerby Golf Club in Byron. Park tied for eighth in that event.

Park spent the past year playing on the Gateway and Asian tours after failing to regain status on the Nationwide Tour.
