Rochester John Marshall was handed a slight upset Tuesday, falling to Eagan 5-2 in the first round of the Section One, Class AA boys tennis tournament at the Rochester Outdoor Tennis Center.
JM was the No. 4 seed out of the southern section, and Eagan was No. 5 out of the north. The loss ends JM's team portion of its season.

Mayo whips Rosemount

Rochester Mayo made easy work of Rosemount in the first round of the Section One, Class AA playoffs at Mayo. The Spartans whipped the Irish 7-0.
Mayo, now 16-2 overall, is the No. 2 seed out out of the south section and Rosemount was the No. 6 seed out of the north.
The Spartans next play Hastings in the quarterfinals at 4 p.m. Thursday at Mayo.

Century loses in playoffs
Rochester Century's team season ended Tuesday with a 6-1 loss to Lakeville in the first round of the Section One, Class AA playoffs.
The Panthers ended up 6-6.
